Hello, my name is Pam,
Before I began my counselling training I worked in the Health and Social Care sector for 30 year in various care and support settings.
I was drawn to becoming a Counsellor after my own personal experience of Counselling lead me to find the courage to make significant changes to my life.
I understand, the courage it can take to walk through a counsellor’s door, I am committed to providing a safe and authentic space for clients.
I am a member of the BACP and work within their Ethical Framework.
I work as an integrative counsellor with Person Centred Approach at the centre, this means for the client that work to the client’s agenda while drawing on other theories to meet the individual client’s needs.
I accept each client as an individual, bringing with them their experience which is unique to them, I listen without judgement and respect each client’s autonomy to explore issues and seek a resolution which is right for them.
When I have time to relax, I enjoy walking, Pilates. I don’t see myself as creative but I do enjoy cross stitch and aim to become more creative with fabric work in the future.
