“I reached out to Horizon and started CBT because I was struggling to manage and rationalize my worries and anxieties on a daily basis for a multitude of reasons.
CBT helped me talk through my issues and enabled me to adjust my thoughts and encourage a positive mindset. This helped me to not only accept my anxiety but work with it to rationalize my thoughts and worries.
It has taken time but CBT has helped me to create useful techniques to manage the anxiety and aided me to build my confidence up. I couldn’t be more grateful for the time and patience Natasha has shown me throughout my sessions.”
Many thanks and kind regards
“Deciding to visit Horizon Counselling Services is definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made. Alan’s holistic approach to therapy was extremely helpful. He used a combination of hypnotherapy and counselling to help me with insomnia and anxiety. My life has been completely transformed since accessing this support. I have moved on from a destructive relationship, and I am pursuing my dream career….and I actually sleep! Amazing!Alan’s approach is warm and friendly. He is a great guy who is passionate about what he does. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone thinking of exploring counselling.”
“I highly recommend Horizon for the support given to me over the past few months. It has been amazing!
Natasha especially, has given me the confidence and support in coping with a family bereavement. I feel so much more positive in many aspects of my life.
I have learnt skills and techniques which are helping me with this journey.
Thank you Natasha!”
“I met with Natasha for approximately 8 months throughout 2018. She made the most exceptional difference to my life, in ways I truly did not expect. My confidence returned with such strength, it was amazing to start feeling like ‘me’ again. I owe her a lot for that. I had seen several counsellors from approximately 2009, and none had the same ability to talk to me properly. I was resigned to the fact that counselling was all about questions on clipboards and notes being taken whilst I was talking. All very disconnected stuff, that lacked any true momentum and made me feel help was a long way off. Natasha engaged with me, spoke to me, picked apart the problem, worked it through and ultimately made it OK. The way the sessions were conducted was a million times better than any counsellor I had encountered, it was human!. I couldn’t recommend Natasha enough. She is fantastic at her job and a truly wonderful human being. The therapy industry could really do with a lot more like her.
“I would like say a huge thank you to Alan and Horizon for helping me overcome a particularly challenging time in my life.
It certainly wasn’t easy finding the courage to attend that initial meeting, however Alan quickly put me at ease with a warm and pleasant disposition, and due to that immediate rapport it was very easy to open up and discuss the things that I believed were holding me back.
Not only can I manage my personal affairs much more affectively, but I can now see all the positive things in my life I didn’t see before and I’m a much happier person because of it.
I highly recommend Horizon Counselling to anyone looking to better understand and manage their issues.
Again, thank you Alan for all that you’ve done in such a short space of time.”
“After trying to utilise the NHS and their mental health team for counselling and experiencing delay after delay and poor levels of care I turned to private counselling for immediate care.
I cannot recommend Mark highly enough, he helped me work through my obsessive thoughts and depression at a time when I was at my lowest. I was very sceptical that I would be able to trust anyone with my personal thoughts and emotions and more fundamentally that i would be able to see life in a positive light.
This proved to not be the case and Mark worked to slowly build my trust over a number of sessions and helped to identify obsessive negative thoughts and allowed me to explore exactly why I felt lost and ultimately helped me develop the tools necessary to battle my depression.
If you are worried that therapy is a dead end and have given up on seeking help, I would argue that by having an introductory session with Mark and seeking the help you need is the first step on your road to recovery and more importantly the rest of your life.”
