Tony Richardson

Hello, I’m Tony,

Ahead of booking an appointment with me, I wanted to introduce myself so that hopefully meeting face to face for the first time might be a little easier.

I’m aware that getting through that door isn’t easy. Some people can take weeks, months, even years of thinking about this before taking the necessary steps to book in.

All too often it can come from a sense knowing something just isn’t quite right, and a belief that our lives can be better. Other times it can be realising that we’ve suddenly found the limitations of our own resilience, that we’ve crossed that line and feel it’s time to understand how we got here, and how to get back.

For some, starting counselling can be the beginning of choosing to proactively explore what the actual issue is, why we show up in the world; in relationships, in the way we do. Choosing to do this in a safe, confidential space; a place of curiosity not judgement; a place to share and honour your story, and to explore whether the narrative you’ve carried of yourself for so long is actually true. To find the authentic version of ourselves.

Choosing someone to work with can feel hard, so if you’ve made it this far, and aren’t sure whether I’m the right person for you, please keep on searching, because if you’ve made it this far, then maybe it’s the right time for you.
