Hi, my name is Stacey

I originally trained as a Learning Disability Nurse and worked within a low secure unit and various mental health services within Plymouth, providing support to those experiencing acute mental health problems and those in crisis, promoting their mental health and wellbeing and ensuring they had coping strategies and support in place for when they returned home.

I have since worked in various roles within health and social care supporting vulnerable people, however, my passion for working alongside people to improve their mental health has never diminished, and after finding myself at a difficult time in my life I sought out my own counselling.

Counselling helped me to understand what was going on for me during this time, and helped me to become more self-aware, it was from this that I decided I wanted to become a counsellor.

I know first hand how scary it can be to seek support, and I can offer a safe space for you to feel heard, valued, and understood.

I work using an Integrative approach, which means I can use different theories to meet your needs and have experience working with common mental health problems and with people experiencing difficulties in their lives, such as anxiety, relationship breakdowns, bereavement, and lack of confidence.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework, ensuring I am working professionally and safely. I also have an enhanced DBS in place and have monthly supervision to ensure I am working within your best interest.

If you feel I could help you, please book in for an initial consultation and I look forward to meeting you soon.
